The Strategy: Drawing on my background in visual merchandising, I assisted in designing a "Pop-Up" closet system that treated seasonal archives and daily essentials with the same care as a retail environment, ensuring the family felt settled even amidst the chaos of a remodel.
Preparing for a major structural remodel requires more than just packing; it requires a deep reconciliation with forty years of accumulated history. Over a six-month collaboration, I co-managed the comprehensive downsize and archival of a family’s entire household. The centerpiece of this transition was the creation of a subterranean boutique—a temporary, highly functional clothing system designed to provide the family with daily ease and "wardrobe continuity" while their primary living spaces were under construction.
