• Situation: Managed the complete event staging for a surprise 70th birthday dinner for a family of seven, with execution constrained to a single afternoon. Subcontracted Event via GoToConcierge

• Action:

  • Co-conceptualized and executed an elegant, personalized dining aesthetic, co-designing a seasonal floral centerpiece, personalized bouquets and selecting specific linens, chargers, and glassware from the hosts’ decor to create a cohesive tablescape.

  • Configured an intuitive and visually appealing drink station, optimizing flow and integrating decorative elements to mirror the dining area's theme.

  • Enhanced surrounding spaces (mantle, sideboard, window, outdoor seating area) with curated decor from the hosts’ collection, in addition to extra florals, ensuring visual continuity, comfort and elevating the celebratory atmosphere.

  • Communicated directly with the private chef and serving staff, organizing and prepping serving materials from existing collection, and acting as a central liaison to ensure seamless service integration and guest experience.

  • Executed all staging and setup within the tight one-afternoon timeline through meticulous pre-planning and efficient on-site execution.

• Result: Successfully transformed the dining area into a welcoming, colorful and highly functional environment that exceeded client expectations, ensuring a truly memorable and stress-free surprise celebration for the family.
